About The Centre

Welcome to Eshton Grange. Based in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the PlayAway Trust has established a purpose-equipped children's recreational, educational and residential facility for the young people of Liverpool and the Craven area of North Yorkshire.

The centre is open all year round, closing only for the Christmas period. It is ideal for residential visits and curriculum-based educational trips by schools and youth groups. For schools in particular the surrounding area is suitable for environmental and geographical field studies, as well as outdoor pursuits.

All staff at the centre are fully trained and in accordance with current
government legislation concerning safety, protection etc. Costs are heavily subsidised by the PlayAway charity and start from £6 per person per night for community/voluntary groups.

All activities onsite are Curriculum linked for school / educational purposes, from key stage 1 upwards. Copies of the National Curriculum and Key Stage links are available onsite from our Downloads page.
